Agoda Malaysia needed a custom plushie mascot keychain for its CNY 2026 campaign. GiftsDepot.my was asked to turn the client’s 2D mascot artwork into a physical plushie, together with matching custom packaging, within a tight pre-CNY timeline.
The Challenge 🎯
The main challenge was turning Agoda Malaysia’s 2D mascot artwork into a physical plushie keychain while preserving the character’s recognisable shape, proportions and details.
As the plushies were required for a CNY 2026 campaign, the project also came with a tight timeline. The plushie structure, embroidery details, keychain attachment and packaging all had to be checked carefully before production.
What We Did 🛠️
We first reviewed the client’s 2D mascot artwork and used AI-assisted visualisation to create a clearer 3D plushie concept. This helped the client and production team understand how the mascot could look as a physical product.
We then coordinated with the factory to confirm production feasibility, including the plushie shape, fabric, embroidery details, red packet, keychain hook and final finishing.
We also prepared a custom printed packaging box that matched the CNY 2026 campaign theme, giving the finished gift a more complete and presentable appearance.
The Result ✅
The custom plushie mascot keychains were successfully produced based on Agoda Malaysia’s original mascot concept and completed with matching custom packaging.
The finished goods were delivered within the required schedule, allowing the client to proceed with the CNY 2026 campaign as planned.
